| MY TESTIMONY: Fred Beggs, President of
Ammo Bank Ammunition and retail
store, Ammo Bee and Guns.
In a world where we seem tossed between what is real and what is imaginary my simple testimony of experience may bring hope and enlightenment. Enlightenment is not for those that understand but to those that know they don't know. A blind person is blind and sight is a hope. For those that know they see they always seem quite angry at everyone since they know what should be done all the time. We are blind, by the way, and truly deaf. We are collectively, a Helen Keller. (See Footnote *) We have no idea what we are missing since we cannot know. It wasn't until Helen had a spark of light that brought to her senses the word, "WATER", that she even had a clue to the vast reality that was about to become life to her. Let me go on to explain my Helen Keller experience and I am not at all interested in adverse opinions of this since I know what I have experienced. No different than any one else's experiences in life. For instance, I have never been in a combat situation while some soldiers know what it's like. The Bible, to me, is different than what other Christ believing friends have come to know it. I guess that should include the many sons of Abraham. I have come to understand the Bible as a resource used by my Holy Teacher to teach me the existence of the word "WATER." I say this to bring back the Helen Keller experience. It wasn't just "WATER" but a whole reality that I did not know existed until I was brought to it. Mathew chapter 13 is comparable to teaching finger spelling. Even the Apostles didn't quite get it at the time. Jesus said that it is like a man when once finding a pearl of great wealth went and sold all he had to buy that pearl. Once Helen Keller got the message she was unstoppable, she had to complete what was started. Where she was once deaf and blind, now she saw. She saw completely, not sight. Metaphorically speaking, if I can learn finger spelling, to a small degree, than it is available to all who are deaf and blind, like me. * If you do not know who Helen Keller is, please take the time to read her book and don't forget the writing's of her teacher as well. She became totally deaf and blind as an infant when she came down with Scarlet Fever. |
